Ada Lil Torres, Esq.

Ms. Torres directs the firm’s legal associates and advisors and oversees the day to day operations.  She also guides business development and client relations, setting overall strategic direction for the practice.  Ms. Torres has broad experience serving clients in a variety of industries, both national and international in scope.  She has worked with every size client firm, from start-up venture to large multi-national corporations.

 

Ms. Torres is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She provides pro bono legal consultation services to several non-profit organizations and is frequently a guest speaker at church and community forums in matters of immigration. Before hanging her shingle, Ms. Torres honed her craft and practiced Immigration Law with seasoned veteran attorneys in Brooklyn NY. Ms. Torres also has extensive in-court experience litigating on behalf immigrants facing deportation as well as on behalf of NYC tenants in Landlord Tenant disputes working as a Staff Attorney for Goddard Riverside Community Center.

 

Ms. Torres has always been active in her community. She was active in the local PTA, and volunteered in the town's recreational soccer and baseball programs. Ms. Torres has participated in several Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training (TNT) endurance events while helping to raise money for the research and cure of blood cancers. She also served as a trustee for Project Literacy of Bergen County, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing, supporting, and promoting the expansion of adult literacy in Bergen County.

 

Ms. Torres earned her Juris Doctor degree from Syracuse University College of Law. She is admitted to practice in NY, NJ & the Supreme Court of the United States. Ms. Torres completed her B.A. at Marymount College, Tarrytown, NY and as an undergraduate participated in study abroad programs in Paris, France and Salamanca, Spain. She is fluent in English, Spanish and proficient in French.
